Kristi is a nine-year walk4ALZ® team captain for ALZ in the Family. She lost a grandfather, aunt, and uncle to Alzheimer’s and had wanted to find a way to help others. So, she created a walk4ALZ team and enlisted her two best friends, both of whom have the disease in their families, along with her mom and sister. Since that time, Kristi has lost two other aunts and another uncle to Alzheimer’s. Almost all her cousins and her friends’ family members participate by walking and/or by donating. Kristi knows first-hand that Alzheimer’s is truly a family disease.
