All Skate 2019

In recognition of World Alzheimer’s Day this September 21, 2019, Grand Park Foundation hosts the “All Skate for Alzheimer’s” FREE EVENT in Downtown LA!

The Grand Park Foundation Presents:

All Skate for Alzheimer’s “Caring for the Caregiver”

An African American Alzheimer’s Education & Awareness Event

In 2018, Alzheimer’s disease was identified as a “silent epidemic” and emerging health crisis among aging African Americans. As a result, it has now become crucial to address the impact of the disease on the health and well-being of the African American family, community and caregiver.

Therefore in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21, the Grand Park Foundation launches its inaugural signature fundraising event, “All Skate for Alzheimer’s.” The overall goal of this extraordinary 3-day event is to better educate Los Angeles’ African American community on Alzheimer’s and the importance of brain wellness and caregiver support.

And in homage to the recent resurgence of LA’s urban roller skating culture, the Grand Park Foundation is also bringing the first ever outdoor roller rink to Downtown Los Angeles. So come out to SKATE, LEARN & CARE!
